Kahn Morbee
Kahn Morbee live at Blou Hond
Tonight’s MC & opening act is Logan, also known as one of the LeSi restaurant’s singing waiters.
Although young, his voice shows the musical theatre background he already has gained internationally. His show tonight includes ‘Grow as we go’ (Ben Platt) & ‘Sing’ (Ed Sheeran).
After the scrumptious 3 course meal has been served at the tables (there are platter options also available on pre-booking).
Kahn & his band takes to the stage.
With Trever Rebello – a solo artist in his own right - on bass guitar & vocals, Neil Pauw on drums & Rob Davidson on keyboard, the repertoire includes most of Kahn’s & ‘The Parlotones’’ hits over the past 20 years: ‘Salt’, ‘Midnight’, ‘Giant’, ‘Delusions of grandeur’, ‘I’ll be there’, ‘She takes me home’, ‘Swimming with saints’, ‘Lucky’, ‘Candle’ & ‘Days like this’.
As the crowd keep on sending shooters to the band, the program continues with ‘Rhythm’, ‘The Muse’, a rock version of the Koos Kombuis hit ‘Lisa se klavier’, ‘Divine’ & ‘Paris’.
Kahn shares that he will be releasing a new solo album this month. A highlight of the evening is a soulful version of the Bruce Springsteen hit ‘Dancing in the dark’ sung solo by Trevor.
As an encore the band performs ‘Push me to the floor’, ‘New Year’s Day’ & ‘Colourful’.
Thank you to our sponsor Renault Edenvale Route 24 for supporting South African music.
Please follow the performers as well as Die Blou Hond & Casa Toscana to stay updated with all things new.
