Watershed
The exquisite buffet served tonight is a remedy against the chilly weather: Chicken & spinach Alfredo
lasagna, beef meatballs in an Italian spaghetti sauce & balsamic roast pork loin. For the vegetarians,
eggplant parmesan, Italian style mushroom & spinach & mushroom orzo rice are served. Dessert is a
creamy Italian buttermilk pannacotta.
Philip Moolman shares a medley of songs by South African bands, who preceded ‘Watershed’: “Man on
the moon” (Ballyhoo), “Dance some more” (Mango Groove), & “My kind of girl” (Cinema).
Top South African Rock Band, ‘Watershed’ led by Craig Hinds does not disappoint with their programme.
He is accompanied tonight by Colin & Howie on various acoustic as well as electronic instruments.
Their last performance here @ Die Blou Hond was in April 2017. A new album has been released in
November 2018 & quite a few songs from that album is performed tonight.
These seasoned, fulltime musicians wows the crowd with one hit after the other: “Nothing about you is
the same”, “My love is gone”, “Letters” (from 2005 ‘Mosaic’ album), “Mountainside” & “Harbour” (both
from the new album), to name a few.
With “Indigo Girl”, the crowd sings along from the first note...magical. A splendid evening is ended with
“Watch the rain”.
